Quick answer
The floppy-disc puzzle is in the shrinking laboratory, after the resin machine and before the 4×4 printer grid. The disc must change size with its carrier.
Find and enlarge the yellow disc
- As the small player, look in the guinea-pig enclosure near the slide, toward its middle. Check your inventory if the disc is no longer on the ground.
- Carry the disc back through the return tube to the microwave-like resizing machine.
- Have your partner enlarge you while you are holding the disc.
- Insert the enlarged disc into the large machine. One player then returns to small size for the dial section.
Do not leave the small disc behind and try to insert it unchanged. The item grows with the player carrying it.
Match the two sets of dials
The small player pulls the inner lever fully down and holds it while reading the four target directions. The large player operates the outside machine, using the large INTERACT button to submit or stop the current dial.
| Set | Possible directions | Dials to complete |
|---|---|---|
| First | Four, at 90-degree intervals | Four |
| Second | Eight, at 45-degree intervals | Four |
Call one dial at a time: “third dial, pointing up,” for example. The outside player repeats the direction, waits for the pointer to reach it, then presses the button. Read the next target only after that dial succeeds.
Read the lights and recover a mistake
Completed indicators are blue-white, the active dial is yellow, and waiting indicators are orange. After a mistake, read the current targets again rather than continuing from a remembered sequence. If the whole set resets, start again at its first dial.
There is no need to use a fixed two- or three-second lead. Coordinate against the pointer you can actually see, especially if your connection has latency.
After both sets
Check that the next passage and the 4×4 printer grid can be used. The green key card comes from that next grid puzzle; matching the dials is not itself the card-printing step.
