Quick answer
The Gravitonics Department changes what “up” means for each player. Name a doorway, cable or sign before giving a direction. Treat the six-ring symbol lock and the colored office controls as different tasks.
Match the six-ring symbols
- Find the three-screen door near the RIFT ENERGY poster. Send the other player to the passage with numbered rings such as RING-02 and RING-03.
- Activate the screen control and read its three symbols from left to right.
- The player among the rings finds the matching symbol on a ring’s outside, then presses the button on its inside.
- Repeat for the second and third symbols, keeping their order.
- Check the door and the ring-passage exit for progress.
Describe the complete symbol, including any outer border. A striped circle with an extra frame is different from a similar unframed drawing. If the screen goes dark, trigger the display again and reread the sequence.
4 → 1 → 5 is one example, not a universal code. Match your displayed symbols instead of counting rings from your current floor.
Coordinate in the offices
The office notice uses X-Y-Z coordinates and the doorway as a position’s zero point. For quick callouts, use the purple platform, red L-shaped floor, yellow cable, window or P.A.T. CONTROL ROOM sign. Each player should describe directions relative to the surface they are standing on.
Useful control checks:
- At paired levers, take one each and pull fully rather than leaving a handle halfway.
- At the purple moving platform, identify both the platform rider and the player who can reach its button before moving either player away.
- At a window with a cube-shaped socket, distinguish the socket from a shootable button. The tools interact with different targets.
- In the blue area, hold the control lever. Simply standing on the platform is not the same action.
- If a doorway appears high above you, check the connected colored route and its gravity direction before trying to build a taller stack beneath it.
The blue control lever
Keep the lever player in position while the travelling player checks the controlled opening. Call out whether the cover or door actually moves before the traveller continues. Only regroup after both players have a route back.
Stuck or just locked?
If both characters can move but a mechanism has not advanced, recheck the symbols and controls. If a character shakes against the red magnetic floor or hits an invisible obstacle, use the separate Gravitonics bug guide.
