PS5 tool-action controls
For Smooth Moves, sprint with L3 and press Circle to slide after entering the laboratory; the starting outdoor section does not offer the same opportunity.
With the prototype tools, Goop’s R2 shot at your partner is the action for Goop Lookin’. Hook your partner with R2 and pull with L2 for Now I’m Hooked. After the R&D power restoration and Goop upgrade, consecutive shots can pin your partner for You’re Chatty for a Statue.
These are PS5 controls. Follow your own input bindings on PC or Xbox. Keep track of who actually holds each ability; swapping characters is not a reliable shortcut to swapping tools.
Plan collectibles alongside the story
Check the Octodoc locations and shared-progress rule as you move through each area. Do not rely on jumping to separate checkpoints to accumulate the set. Jigsaw pieces are a different optional collection.
The two ending trophies represent different Rift Zero outcomes. Keep them distinct from the story-progress list when deciding what you still need.
